The Jazz Axe Man is a true crime story that we learned about from the My Favorite Murder podcast. He was an axe murderer active in New Orleans in the early twentieth century. His 1918 letter to the Times Picayune promised that he would spare anyone who was playing jazz music in their house. He was never caught, so play that music loud!
This is a sneak peak of our upcoming live record at the New Orleans Jazz Museum. It was recorded live on November 3, 2017, and will be released on Gallatin Street Records.
Big shout-out to the My Favorite Murder podcast for inspiring this song!
